About Picnic Day

Since its inception in 1909, Picnic Day has become the crown jewel event of the UC system and the signature event of UC Davis. As one of the largest student-run events in the nation, Picnic Day showcases the diversity and achievements of UC Davis and the surrounding community in research, teaching, service, and campus life. This beloved tradition serves as the university’s annual Open House, welcoming prospective and current students, families, alumni, staff, faculty, and the greater Davis and regional communities. Popular events include the parade, Doxie Derby, and Battle of the Bands.

Social media story shoutout and story highlight save

Sponsor’s logo and brief description of the business are posted on Picnic Day’s Instagram Story and Facebook Story between March 26 - April 12 before Picnic Day. Stories last for 24 hours, and then the Instagram story will be saved to a highlight.

Logo on back of 300 t-shirts*

Sponsor’s logo and name will appear on the back of approximately 300 official Picnic Day Staff shirts that staff wear on Picnic Day.

Name and logo on Schedule of Events*

Sponsor’s logo and name will appear on the Sponsor Page on the Schedule of Events which is posted on the Picnic Day website and distributed on Picnic Day with approximately 9000 printed copies.

Sponsor’s logo and brief description will be displayed on the Memorial Union Coffee House TVs.

Exhibition Booth at sponsor’s choice of Russell Field, UCenter, or any Exhibit. Picnic Day will provide a table and 2 chairs for sponsor.

Exhibition Booth at the Children’s Discovery Fair which reaches approximately 1,000 children and their families. Picnic Day will provide a table and 2 chairs for sponsor.
