The executive office consists of the ASUCD President, Internal Vice President, ASUCD Controller, External Affaird Vice President, International Student Representative, and Transfer Student Representative, as well as their respective staff. Elections for the offices of ASUCD President and Vice President are held annually during the fourth week of spring quarter.
After this election, the new President appoints the ASUCD Controller. The executive office oversees all ASUCD units, but the President often takes a more direct role in Advocacy Units, while the Controller manages Business Units. The Controller can appoint a Vice Controller and the Internal Vice President can appoint an Associate Vice President.

About the President
The President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of and the official representative of ASUCD. They are responsible for coordinating functions of the Executive Office and oversee the appointment of a number of offices including ASUCD Unit Directos and the ASUCD Controller. The President has the sole authority to make treaties, memorandums of understanding, or other legally binding contracts on behalf of the ASUCD, subject only to ratification by a 2/3 majority approval of the Senate

About the Vice President
The Internal Vice President acts as the presiding officer over all Senate meetings and assists in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the ASUCD. They hold no vote in Senate except to break ties in which there are no abstentions. Along with the President, serve as ex-officio members on all committees requiring student membership. In the instance that the President is unable to fulfill the duties of the office, the Internal Vice President assumes the position of ASUCD President.
About the External Affairs Vice President
The External Affairs Vice President is the official representative of ASUCD to the University of California Student Association, and to all governmental bodies, including but not limited to local, state, and federal governments. They coordinating lobbying and advocacy events to inform and engage the student body in all external affairs.

About the Controller
The ASUCD Controller serves as the financial advisor of the ASUCD. They are responsible for overseeing the creation and proposal of the yearly ASUCD Budget. In addition to the responsibilities enumerated in the ASUCD Bylaws, the ASUCD Controller must attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the ASUCD Senate and give a weekly report of current projects and any recent financial matters regarding specific units.
