Jobs Initiative Mission:

The mission of the UC Davis Jobs Initiative is to provide tools for students to attain jobs. This campus-wide effort seeks to give UC Davis students a clear path for finding opportunities while on campus and after graduation. The UC Davis Jobs Initiative aims to give our unique and highly qualified students the necessary information and materials to seek their desired employment and remain competitive in today’s difficult economy.

Jobs Initiative Description:

Following the success of the UC Davis Jobs Summit in March 2012, the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis (ASUCD) is organizing a one-day jobs and career exposition for undergraduates on Feb. 26 to launch an on-going jobs initiative aimed at helping UC Davis students gain experience in the workforce and prepare them to launch their careers following graduation.

The Jobs Initiative event will feature a number of keynote speakers including UC Davis alumni who are leaders in the private and public sector and representatives from UC Davis departments – such as the Internship and Career Center and the Center for Student Involvement.

Throughout the day, students will be able to attend various workshops – such as interview preparation – receive career counseling and learn about job search resources on campus.
