There are several units within ASUCD that inform and entertain the student population while simultaneously giving students experience within various forms of media.  Such media units include:

• AGTV, a television production unit

• AS Papers, a unit producing alternative publications

• Creative Media, a graphics and web design unit

• Entertainment Council, which provides concerts and runs Campus Cinema

• KDVS, a non-profit free-form radio station
• The California Aggie, the campus daily newspaper

The California Aggie and KDVS are managed by the Campus Media Board in order to ensure an independent press.
