Chris is a 4th year Political Science Major originally from right here in Davis.
Since coming to UC Davis, Chris has been actively involved on campus as a member of College Life Christian Fellowship and a Summer 2008 summer orientation leader. Since coming to Davis Chris had a dream of representing his fellow students in elected office in ASUCD and in Winter Quarter 2008 he was elected to the ASUCD Senate. Throughout his term on the ASUCD Senate he has sought to go above and beyond in service to his fellow students. He has worked hard to pursue projects that would have a meaningful impact on the daily lives of UC Davis students.
Below are some highlights of what Chris has done on the Senate:
- Advocated for the implementation of the UC Davis Gmail program and oversaw the switch to Gmail.
- Worked with other ASUCD Officials to establish the ASUCD Budget Taskforce to coordinate a large lobbying effort against budget cuts at the local and statewide level.
- Worked to get a test taking supply vending machine on campus.
- Lobbied for more group study rooms in the library and elsewhere on campus.
- Lobbied for increased covered bike parking on campus.
- Advocated for the maintained presence of the Bike Church on the UC Davis Campus.
