Elections Committee

This page contains information for both the Elections Committee and any current or upcoming ASUCD elections!

The elections committee ensures the smooth and fair administration of ASUCD elections. The committee also coordinates publicity to encourage students to vote and puts on candidate and ballot measure forums to better inform students of election issues.

Two general elections are held each academic year. Six senators are elected on the seventh week of fall quarter and six senators and the President and Vice President are elected during the seventh week of winter quarter.

The Elections Committee is looking for volunteer pollworkers for the day of the election.  Each volunteer will receive a free lunch and a free t-shirt!

If you are interested in running for office, taking out a ballot measure or recall petition, or have any questions related to elections, please email us.

Platform Statement Submission

  • Platform statements must be 500 words or less.
  • Email your statement to nsidney+platform@gmail.com
  • Do Not send your platform as an attachment.
  • No bullets, lists, or special formatting in order to ensure the text is displayed correctly.  You may use bold, underline, and/or italics.  You may use * or - if you want to make a list, but don't copy and paste bullet points from Word.
  • Platforms are due by Monday, October 26th by 11:59 PM.

Candidate Flyer Instructions


All Flyers Must:

  • have the dates of the election (Nov. 10 to Nov 13 @ 8AM).
  • have the elections website: elections.ucdavis.edu.
  • be 8.5'' x 11''
  • have the name of the candidate and the office for which they are running.
  • be turned in to SGAO (348 MU) by Monday, October 26th at noon.
