The ASUCD Controller is responsible for drafting and implementing the $10.7 million ASUCD Budget.   As the primary financial advisor to the ASUCD President and the ASUCD Senate, the Controller also recommends policies to improve ASUCD's commercial operations and general business practices.

In addition, the Controller works closely with the ASUCD Business Manager in overseeing the Units of the Association, monitoring spending, and keeping the Unit Directors within to their budgets.

Eli Yani is a third year political science major and Latin minor.  Since coming to Davis in Fall 2007, he has been actively involved in ASUCD, first as an External Affairs Commissioner, and then as the Campus Forums and Education Coordinator in University Affairs.  Starting in Spring 2008, Eli Yani began working in the office of the former Controller, Paul Harms, as the Assistant to the Controller. Eli  Yani was appointed to be the Controller under President Joseph Chatham, and is hard at work writing the budget FY 2009-2010. 

Plans for the year:

Create an Advertising Agency to boost revenue for the general subsidy.
Balance the budget.
Promote ASUCD brand name awareness.
Make over $100 in the Entertainment Council date auction.
